White Rose Wedding Cake
Posted to Wedding Cakes

Ivory fondant with bunches of sugar flowers and petals cover this 3 tier round wedding cake. We used orchids, hydrangeas and roses in whites with touches of green and yello. The flavors included chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream, and chocolate cake with oreos and cream buttercream.

Wow !
Much as I like the quirky and colourful cakes – and I do – I really really like a classic and more restrained look.
I want people to remember me (first) or my husband (second) at the wedding or maybe the bridesmaids before they remember the cake.
It’s great to meet someone so creative.
Anne- I love your work! You are such an inspiration! I am so excited you are offering classes now! I am definately looking forward to the possibility of coming to NJ for a class! I am from louisiana, and I get SEVERAL calls from people asking to do a cake like the one’s from your site! I also wanted to share this interview I found of you when I was searching to watch the first episode on the Ultimate Cake off.Anyway, I wasn’t sure if you’ve seen it or not just passing off the info! http://tlc.discovery.com/videos/ultimate-cake-off-anne-heap.html
Again I truly admire your talent! Keep up the GREAT work!
Heather
Hi Heather – thanks for your comment and compliments. I was not aware of this video – thanks for sending it along.
The cakes look vibrant and attractive! However, where I come from, most of the time the wedding cakes are only a fake mock-up with a tiny portion of real cake created for the cake-cutting ceremony.
http://pat-chris.blogspot.com/2009/09/alternative-cake.html is about jelly cakes that would be nice for dessert during other special occasions
