I live in southern Louisiana where it is very humid and fondant has not been a friend of mine. I have made my own but I don’t belive I have ever achieved the consistancy as seen used in other demonstrations on TV. I have used a brand I order online from a cake supply and I have also tried the Wilton brand. Do you have a favorite brand of fondant and if so, where can I order it from? I enjoyed your website and found it to be more informative that most. Beautiful cakes!
Hi Tracy – I’ve also had similar issues. We recommend Satin Ice Fondant – search for it online and you’ll find it.
I absolutely love this cake! its simplicity is so stunning and suits me so well, as I am always over the top but with key pieces I stick to simple and elegant.
