Topsy Turvy Bar Mitzvah Cake (1884)
This four-tiered topsy turvy cake was created for a Bar Mitzvah. The color pallet was inspired by the brown and blue tones in the parties invitation. The top tier was covered in pearlized ivory with brown and blue polka dots. The second tier, covered in brown fondant is highlighted by a ivory fondant bow with long tails. The center of the bow is decorated with a sandy colored starfish. More polka dots and stripes decorate the remaining tiers.
Flavors & fillings included S’mores and chocolate with oreos and cream buttercream. The party was held at McLoone’s Pier House in Long Branch, NJ.
Topsy Turvy Bar Mitvah Cake
We received a wonderful letter from the Karen:
Dear Anne,
Thank you doesn’t even begin to express my gratitude for the extraordinary Topsy Turvy cake and cupcakes you provided for my son’s Bar Mitzvah party this past weekend.
The cake tied our whole theme together, and was an absolute show stopper. It tasted delicious, too. My guests were completely enchanted with your cake, and I received many compliments and inquiries about with whom I had worked.
I especially appreciated your professionalism in developing the design concept and then delivering the job on time and on budget. The knowledge that you were handling this entire element of my event made my job much easier and stress-free.
Again many thanks for helping to make Jared’s Bar Mitzvah a terrific day and a cherished memory.
Sincerely,
Karen
