Topsy Turvy Bar Mitzvah Cake
Posted to All Pastries, Celebration Cakes, Bar Mitzvah Cakes, Topsy Turvy Cakes on Sunday, May 6th, 2007.This three-tiered topsy turvy cake was created for a Bar Mitzvah. The design was inspired by the brown and turquoise invitation. The party was held at Frank’s Waterside in North Bergen. We surrounded the cake with 15 cupcakes covered in chocolate and turquoise fondant to match the party’s color theme. Each cupcake was adorned with a tapered candle for the candle lighting ceremony.

Here is the cake setup at Frank’s Waterside with the Hudson River in the background:

We received a wonderful letter from the Karen:
Dear Anne,Thank you doesn’t even begin to express my gratitude for the extraordinary Topsy Turvy cake and cupcakes you provided for my son’s Bar Mitzvah party this past weekend.
The cake tied our whole theme together, and was an absolute show stopper. It tasted delicious, too. My guests were completely enchanted with your cake, and I received many compliments and inquiries about with whom I had worked.
I especially appreciated your professionalism in developing the design concept and then delivering the job on time and on budget. The knowledge that you were handling this entire element of my event made my job much easier and stress-free.
Again many thanks for helping to make Jared’s Bar Mitzvah a terrific day and a cherished memory.
Sincerely,
Karen
