Top Cakes 2010 (102010)
As we wait for the results of the 2010 voting competition for best cake of 2010 (you can still vote!), we have compiled a list of the most popular cakes created in 2010. The list is compiled by slicing and dicing over 20 million unique visits this year (thanks everyone!) and ranking the cakes based factors like number of unique visitors, facebook likes & comments, etc.
#10 Shopping Pregnant Mommy Baby Shower Cake
How could we have a top 10 without one of our signature pregnant mommy topper cakes? Luckily, this had enough traffic to sneak into the number 10 spot.
In the #9 spot we have a relatively late entry from December – a mommy giraffe and baby giraffe baby shower cake.
#8 Bows and Bling Wedding Cake
This enormous wedding cake is the only wedding cake in our top 10 this year.
We love ladybugs at Pink Cake Box and we love incorporating them into our cakes, so it’s only appropriate that a ladybug cake made it into the top 10.
If you follow Pink Cake Box, then you may know that our candy theme cakes are one of our signature cakes. In 2010, we created many candy theme cakes for all sorts of events including sweet 16 aprties and birthday parties.
Our popular Party Dress cake returned this year for a sweet 16 party and made it into our top 5 cakes for 2010.
Another sweet 16 cake in the top 5 and of course in popular zebra print!
#3 Topsy Turvy Pink Cupcake Cake
This cake combines some of our favorite things including the color pink and a pink frosted cupcake topped with a cherry.
#2 Topsy Turvy Pink Cupcake Cake
Rounding out #2, is our French Mastiff dog groom’s cake.
And in the #1 spot with 2,482 Facebook likes is the xkcd comic wedding cake. While there may have been several more technically challenging and visually appealing cakes created in 2010, the xkcd wedding cake brought in the most traffic by far of all our cakes. It appeared in several popular blogs including Wired Magazine and led several calls and emails. (We ended up creating another one for a different wedding).

The cakes are amazing, marvellous, stunning… I just can’t find words 2 desribe what I feel about these masterpieces!!! You have golden hands really! Candy Cake is simply gorgeous! I wish I lived somewhere near to have opportunity to order that for my son’s Birthday.
