Snowboarding Bar Mitzvah Cake

Right in time for the upcoming snowboarding season, we worked this week to create this four tier topsy turvy cake complete with a snowboard, helmet, boots, gloves and goggles. We created the cake for Jacob’s Bar Mitzvah at Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes, NJ.

The snowboard cake was covered in graphite gray fondant with fondant decorations in red, black and white. Accents of green, blue, yellow and orange rounded out the rest of the colors.

Our client provided various logos and elements to be included on the cake.

Flavors and fillings included vanilla with chocolate buttercream, lemon with raspberry chambord buttercream, chocolate with oreos and cream buttercream and red velvet with vanilla buttercream.

We have a really cool Bar Mitzvah cake – it’s a snowboard themed cake. We created a replica of the snowboard with bindings and several details. Lots of work was put into this cake! The cake includes snow, a helmet, goggles, gloves and his boots strewn about the cake. The back of the board includes a pattern and is wedged into the snow.
