Simple Pink Hydrangea Bridal Shower Cake

Our friend Sara attended a bridal shower for her soon to be sister-in-law and wanted to surprise her with one of our wedding shower cakes. She wanted a cake to match with her pink and white wedding colors and asked us to make it simple and elegant.

White Hydrangea Sugar Flowers atop Bridal Shower Cake

The two tier cake was decorated with blush pink quilted fondant wit white hydrangeas on top and 2 white bows as the base of each tier. The entire cake was lemon cake with vanilla Italian meringue buttercream.

Bridal Shower Hydrangea Cake

Everything went very well and the cake was a huge hit! Everyone was talking about how beautiful the cake was…the bride-to- be most of all. And…the cake was also delicious! The entire bottom layer was eaten and the bride-to-be took the top layer home. We used the cookies as a take home favor and we received tons of compliments on those as well.
