Some might say that sand and cake aren’t an enjoyable pair…but this bat mitzvah cake defies convention. It’s decorated with seashells and flags and accompanied by a cake pail filled with sand. The flavors included vanilla with chocolate mouse and lemon buttercream. We delivered the cake to the Manor in West Orange, NJ.

What an awesome cake! I love it! Hard to imagine those flavors by looking at it. Is the “sand” like ground up graham crackers or something?

OMG, wow! I love that cake. I love the ocean and all creatures that live there, especially whales & dolphins. That would be a great theme cake for my birthday. One of my favorites so far.

Okay, okay - now how on earth did you make it look so sandy? It’s amazing and if you didn’t tell me it was a cake, I probably would never guess…

Great cake! I want one! I am from South Carolina (living in TX now) and practically grew up on the beach.

    It looks great, very effective!
But I think I’d have trouble eatig it, I’d be worried about the crunchy sandy taste cause it looks so real!
