Pink Quilted Princess Cake with Whimsical Flowers

This weekend we created a princess cake for Gabrielle’s 1st birthday party. We’ve had the honor of doing several cakes for the family including Gavin’s 1st birthday cake and 2nd birthday cake. The party was princess themed and Gabrielle was initially inspired by our castle cakes for the theme. Ultimately we came up with this princess tiara cake with quilted pink fondant and metallic gold tiara. The tiara is highlighted with a few pink and clear crystals. The base of each tier includes fuchsia pink bands with thinner purple bands on top.

A metallic gold rolled fondant number 1 is stamped on the front of the cake and rose accents in pink and purple highlight the base of each tier. Flavors and fillings included pink velvet with vanilla buttercream, vanilla with strawberry buttercream and banana with salted chocolate buttercream. We delivered the cake to Astoria World Manor in Queens, NYC.
