Peacock Wedding Cake (1902)
A peacock and peahen adorn the top of this three tier round wedding cake. The peacock’s feathers cascade around each tier of the cake. The feather’s colors were coordinated with a collage of different peacock feathers sent by the bride. The peahen includes beautiful Indian jewelry around the top of its head. Shimmery ivory fondant with light gold swirls cover the entire cake and purple lotus flowers accent each tier.
Flavors & fillings included almond with raspberry Italian meringue, pistachio with chai Italian meringue, and chocolate with hazelnut Italian meringue. The wedding was held at The Clinton Manor in Union, NJ.
