The top of this cake includes a stylish mother-to-be pushing a pram carriage. The colors and decorations on the cake were inspired by our popular Pink & Brown Baby Shower Cake. Flavors included red velvet cake with raspberry chambord, chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream and vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream.
Here’s a wonderful comment left by the sister of the mommy-to-be:
My mother and I designed this cake for my sisters baby shower, the Pink Cake Box did an amazing job and it really was PERFECT!!!! I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!!! My sister and all the guests were absolutely in love with the cake! THANK YOU PINK CAKE BOX!!!
We incorporated a few New York themes into this 3 tier round baby shower cake including a port authority police car and small port authority patch on the blue teddy bear. Colors include blue, lime and brown. The flavors included vanilla cake with lemon cream cheese and chocolate buttercream. The cake was delivered to the Sofrito restaurant in New York City.
This cake represents the popular World of Warcraft online role-playing video game. Inside the groom’s cake is red velvet with chocolate buttercream. We delivered the cake to Meadowlands Racetrack in Rutherford, NJ.
Here’s another incarnation of our popular dress form cake. Atop this fancy Bat Mitzvah cake are sparkly twirly decorations and a single gold fabric rose. Pleated sugar fabric runs along the top while sequins and crystals were hand placed along the waist of the dress. The skirt includes a gold painted damask pattern. Towards the bottom of the dress cake are ruffles hand painted with gold edges.
Around the back of the dress we included more gold fabric roses with a blue sash and more sugar sequins.
Here is a closeup of the sequins and crytals placed along the dress’s waistband:
From the video:
We’ve got a fancy schmancy bat mitzvah cake here. It’s a dress form and at the top we have these sparkly twirly things and cool gold fabric roses.
We hand placed each one of these sugar sequins sequences and crystals. The skirt was hand painted with a gold damask pattern..painstakenly!
And then the base is on a metal pole with a single sugar rose at the bottom.
I don’t even know what to say!!!!!! No one has EVER EVER EVER EVER seen a cake like this. My daughter, who just had her Bat Mitzvah this past Saturday was the one who found pinkcakebox last year when she was googling cakes…….and what do you know….a YEAR later…….and the MOST TALKED ABOUT CAKE EVER!!! Not only was this a TRUE SHOWSTOPPER but DELICIOUSSSSSSSSSSSSSS…..one friend ate 6 peices before his wife had to tell him to stop!!!!!
We created this cupcake setup for a wedding at the Grand Summit Hotel in Summit, NJ. Each stand is decorated in pink shaded cupcakes that gradually get lighter as the eye moves up the stand. The cake toppers are covered in pink hydrangeas and a navy monogram.
In total we included 270 cupcakes with about half decorated with hydrangeas on top. The flavors included vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream, pink velvet cake with raspberry chambord buttercream and coconut cake with pineapple buttercream.
The bride also left us this wonderful note about the cupcake wedding tiers:
Hi Anne!
Everyone seriously loved the cupcakes. It was honestly one of my favorite parts of the wedding. You guys completely got the crazy colors ombre I wanted!! I loved them. We were dancing so much all I got was a bite during the cutting but I can’t complain Now I m looking forward to our anniversary!!
Just in time for Black Friday – we introduce the Diva 30th Birthday Cake!
This cake and the sugar figurine surrounded by shopping bags were created to match the birthday girl’s 30th birthday invitation. The $29.95 price tag was created to match the card’s theme – “I’m not 30, I’m 29.95 + Tax”. The flavors included marble cake with vanilla and chocolate buttercream and red velvet cake with cream cheese.
You can find this yellow wedding cake in New Jersey Bride’s Fall 2009 Edition. The cake is a lemon cake with chambord mousse and chocolate ganache inside.
During the session Dorothy will host a Q&A session with myself and Ed McFarland, owner of Ed’s Lobster Bar in NYC, discussing how we came to be where we are today.
It’s 1:30pm and one pie is still in the oven. Cutting it a little close perhaps. But maybe I just like to live life dangerously. Apparently my idea of rebellion is Thanksgiving morning baking
This year I tried two new recipes. A Sour Cream Apple Walnut Streusel Pie and a Pumpkin Pecan Pie with Whiskey Butter Sauce. It’s possible that I may have already tested the whiskey butter sauce. And it may be delicious. Potentially….I’m just saying…
At any rate, I better go check on that last pie! On behalf of the entire staff at Pink Cake Box, I would like to send best wishes to all of our customers, friends, families and blog visitors, for a very Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving! May your turkeys be succulent, your pie crusts be flaky and your beverages be plentiful !
We were thrilled to be included in this Fall’s 2009 edition of Instyle Wedding’s Magazine. Our 3 tier Topsy Turvy Fall Wedding cake was featured along with several other talented designers throughout the country.
Update: After reading this post on Style Me Pretty, we are sadden to hear that Instyle Weddings will be closing. Our condolences to all those we’ve worked with at the magazine that were affected by this closing.
