The cupcake themed wedding alternative is on display again this week. Pictured below is a topper cake with white cherry blossoms covered in deep red fondant. A chocolate brown satin ribbon is wrapped around the base of the cake. The deep red color was coordinated to match the weddings invitation colors.
The topper cake sat atop our 5-tier cupcake stand with 50 lemon cupcakes topped with deep red vanilla buttercream.

Green cymbidium orchids, starbursts and paisleys highlight this 2-tier asymmetrically stacked birthday cake. The top tier of the cake had alternating layers of chocolate and vanilla filled with oreos and cream. The bottom tier was vanilla cake with 2 layers of vanilla buttercream and one layer of chocolate mousse.

Thanks to Krystina for her wonderful letter:
Just want to say thank you so much for the perfect cake. the orchids were amazing and exactly what i had envisioned … as you stated i do see that the orchids were already used on a wedding cake, looks great. The cake itself was moist and sweet i just cant think of another word to describe this cake than perfect. Attached is a picture of the cake with the “21″ which really completed the look as well as a picture of the whole table.
Thank you so much again! – Krystina

We don’t often get a chance to take a photo of our cupcake tiers fully decorated with cupcakes, topper cake and flowers. We often rely on generous brides and photographers like Autumn Lin and Danny Weiss to provide us with their professional shots.
Here is another great shot sent to us from Phoebe at Opalia Flowers. This stand held 180 cupcakes including marble cake with chocolate pudding filling, almond cake with raspberry chambord filling, and chocolate cake with oreos and cream filling. The top cake was covered in plum colored fondant and topped off with white and pale pink cherry blossoms.

This salt water striped bass cake, complete with a wooden cutting board was created for a groom who is an avid fisherman. Inside the fish cake is white cake with peanut butter filling. The banner appropriately reads – “To Joe – The Catch of a Lifetime”. We delivered the cake to the BelVedere Restaurant in Clifton, NJ.

Here is the bride’s comment about the cake:
I had to write tonight to say thank you so much!! My fiance loved the cake (Striped Bass) so much and everyone was so impressed! They all thought there was a real fish laying there! And it was so yummy!!! Thank you so much for making our night so special!

We created this 2-tier cake for a bridal shower last weekend. The piped and painted design mimics the bride’s hair comb that she’ll be wearing for her wedding this fall. The cake flavor was almond w/amaretto buttercream. The fun part of this cake was the little ‘cake twist’ that went along with it.
The customer purchased this cake for her friend’s (the bride’s) surprise bridal shower. Unbeknown to the customer, the friend (the bride) called us and had us create a dozen cupcakes topped with 3D objects that the friend loves. The bride thought the friend was just coming in to see our shop.
At any rate, when the customer came into the store, we surprised her with the cupcakes, along with a note from the bride thanking her for being such a great friend. All I’m saying is that there was a wonderful cake moment…the customer may have a shed a tear or two..it was great !
