We received some wonderful photos from the bride of a recent wedding where we provided cupcakes and our 6 tier cupcake tower. The gorgeous photos were taken by Autumn Lin Photography who has studios in both New York City and New Jersey.

Dress for Success Morris County is celebrating its 10th anniversary at the Spring Brook Country Club in Morris Township tonight. We were so excited to be asked to be a part of the their event, entitled, “Success is Sweet.”
The Success Ball will also include many silent auctions items, dinner and dancing. The purpose of the event is to raise money to support Dress for Success Morris County’s mission to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and career development tools to help women enter the workforce.
We created a briefcase and shoe box topped with a dress form - ‘dressed for success!’. A sugar resume and pen finished off the cake. The cake was our signature pink velvet cake with raspberry chambord filling.

We incorporated various mementos into this flower pot cake. The recipient is a avid gardener and we made sure to include her dog playing in the flowers.

The Knot Best of Weddings 2008 magazine was released yesterday. We are proud to announce that Pink Cake Box wedding cupcake stand is featured in the magazine. From the magazine:
“When serving cupcakes instead of traditional cake, it’s all about the presentation. Alternate cupcake flavors and icing to match your signature colors”

This 3 tier Tiffany blue gift box cake has something special inside….and it’s not a diamond! The top box features a tuxedo clad Airedale Terrier bursting out…just in time for the bridal shower at Arno restaurant in NYC. If this wasn’t fun enough, we added matching bride and groom Airedale terrier cupcakes… and cookies - Airedales dressed in black and white tuxedos of course!
The sister of the groom came to us a few months ago with a picture of the couple’s dog dressed in a tux. Since the dog is so well loved, she thought it would be great to feature him on the cake!
The cake was vanilla cake with our hazelnut frangelico filling.

We have some really exciting cakes to share with you this week. Check back later in the week for some more surprises
This 2-tier square cake was inspired by the beautiful Thai architecture in Southeastern Asia. The couple is going to Thailand for their honeymoon - and so the bride wanted to surprise her groom with this cake. We hand painted the scenery alongside the side of each tier. Sugar paste tassels hang off the edge of the top tier. And on top of the cake are two sugar elephants with their trunks intertwined…in love of course!
We named these elephants “Harry and Harriet Elephante” (Pronounced elephantay)
Inside the groom’s cake is red velvet with lemon cream cheese. We delivered it to Voro Restaurant in South Orange, NJ.

Here’s an amazing letter from our customer describing a recent bridal shower cake we created:
A special note of thanks!
Until I found you guys at the PCB I never thought that cake, other than from a box, could be good. The cakes I ate out at restaurants were okay but they lacked something big…love. The cake that you made for Steph’s bridal shower was superb! We brought the cake up the stairs and the waiters looked at us like “what is in there?” they opened up the box and all I heard was “Wow, that is so cool!”. They took the cake out of the box and set it on the table and we stared and marveled at how you captured the dog’s personalities without having met them. The fact that Mangus had splashed Rex and Rex looked a little like “what the heck?” was perfect and Cash would definitely approve of being under a tree on a warm blanket!

Our Pink Cake Box “Office” staff thought it would be funny to mold my “World’s Greatest Boss” mug in lemon jello. You see, as disturbing as it is, I seem to be Michael. I like to think it’s just because I’m “The Boss”… not because I am socially awkward. That’s what she said. Thanks guys!

Have you ever been so excited about something that you’re absolutely speechless? Well today, my husband Jesse and I presented Brian (our nephew) with his birthday cake….a dump truck full of Easter candy and a sugar Easter Bunny!
First he exclaimed, ‘it’s a truck!’ then ‘it’s a dump truck!’ then ‘Wheels!’ then ‘It’s the Easter Bunny!’…then he put his hand on his head with the priceless expression that maybe , just maybe, we blew his 2 year old mind! Yippy! I was so excited to see him so excited!
Happy Easter!

Here’s Brian intently studying his cake right before we served it.
