We incorporated purple gold, black and white colors into this 4 tier cake for a football themed bar mitzvah. The cake included a special purple velvet cake with lemon cream cheese dyed in yellow and gold. Atop the first tier sits a football and football player holding a heisman trophy.
This 4 tiered round topsy turvy cake has a 3d girl figurine decked out in black with sugar hanging crystals atop the first tier. The top and third tiers are covered in fuchsia fondant with diamond cutout patterns and stripes in different colors. Navy fondant with an orange band and bow covers the second tier, while the bottom tier includes navy fondant with concentric circles in different colors.
First off, we’d like to thank everyone for donating to Team Pink Cake Box to benefit the American Cancer Society. We raised a total of $5,500 and exceeded our goal of $5,000. We are thankful for everyone’s support!
For the raffle, we had 61 individual entries for a total of 172 tickets. Everyone was assigned one or more tickets depending on how much they donated. We then used a random number generator to choose 3 numbers from 1 to 172 to represent the winning tickets:
Based on those numbers, the winners were as follows:
Grand Prize Winner of Free Cake Valued up to $750: Jennifer C.
1st Prize Winner of 1 Dozen Free Cupcakes: Bob B.
2nd Prize of 10% off next order of $300 or more: Melissa S.
The winners will be notified via email. Thanks again to everyone who entered- together we can help make strides against breast cancer!
This spinning globe bar mitzvah cake was inspired by the artwork of Sir Edward Burne. The boys name is decorated across the base of the cake in Old English font and gilded with gold. Scripture passages from Genesis and a Adam and Eve scene are painted across the globe. Spiraling up from the base is a 3D snake wrapped in vines.
To top it off the globe includes a motor which spins the globe. See the video below I took in the shop which shows off the spinning globe:
Some additional cake photos:

So now that the show has aired, we can share some photos with you! Ultimate Cake Off was a really fun experience and I am glad to have been a part of it. It was great working with Dana and Kate also – even if TLC tried to throw a little ‘drama’ our way
I was thrilled that our team won – and I want to take this opportunity to thank Team PCB: Beverly Brimmer, Emily Termyna and Russell Anema. This truly was a team win, and I couldn’t have done it without each and every one of them. What the show didn’t reflect – was the RIDICULOUS amount of work and input each and every one of them put into the competition. Not only in the 8 short hours of the show, but also in the weeks before! So way to go TEAM PCB! I’m so proud of us ….It was a lot of work…but we had some fun too….right?
It was very rewarding to be able to win a competition! Thanks to all of our supporters for believing in us!!! Check out some photos below of our cake and pics of us on the set!
We are so close to our fund raising goal of $5000 for the American Cancer Society. So to up the ante we have increased the raffle prize from a $500 cake to a $750 dollar cake!!

This humidor cake helped celebrate the 60th birthday of a cigar aficionado. The humidor included details like a temperature meter, brass handles, a lock and of course many cigars! Alongside the humidor cake we included several cigar sugar accessories -- a zippo lighter, clippers and an ashtray. The cake was red velvet with lemon and vanilla buttercream filling and was delivered to Bernardsville, NJ.
The top of the lid was personalized with initials in large block print.
