I Love NY Baby Shower Themed Cake

Nancy reached out to us back in January inquiring if we could help her create a cake and cookie combination to match her vision of a New York City themed big apple baby shower. Part of her inspiration for the theme was driven by a Made in New York Themed Baby Shower from OntoBaby.com

The Big Green I Love NY Apple

Using Nancy’s pink and green colors as inspiration, we designed this 3 tier round cake highlighted with a gilttery celadon green NYC apple. The top tier was covered in white fondant with light pink and celadon green swiss dots. The middle tier was decorated in celadon green fondant with a light pink center band and bow. The base of the tier includes a set of yellow taxis and celadon green building silhouette cutouts.

Big Apple Cookies

With the cake we included 40 cookies which were a mix of the famous yellow NY taxis and green apples. Each apple included a light pink heart with a piped “I {Heart} NY” message.

It isn't NY without yellow Taxis!

Flavors and fillings included vanilla with chocolate buttercream, red velvet with lemon cream cheese, and chocolate with vanilla buttercream. The even took place at the Grand Slam Banquet Hall in NYC.
