NJ Bride Quilted Pattern Wedding Cake

Our quilted wedding cake is featured in the Winter 2007 issue on page 179. The almond cake was decorated to match a beautiful paper pattern and is filled with rose-infused buttercream. I used rolled fondant to create the ribbons, except for the dark brown ribbons which are real satin ribbons. The fruit was created with royal icing, which I piped on and also painted on with a paintbrush. I then painted the royal icing with silk white luster.
