If you can dream it, Anne Heap, owner of Pink Cake Box in Denville, can bake it. “I don’t do anything ‘usual’ anymore,” says the pastry chef, who may spend 10 to 40 hours whipping up one of her elaborate, fantastical creations – be it a set of cupcakes masquerading as billard balls, complete with edible rack, or a three-tiered Tiffany-box cake with tuxedo-clad Airedale terrier (also edible) popping out the top. Champagne buckets, treasure chests, castles, teapots – Heap has baked scrumptious, exquisite versions of them all.
