Matthew's First Communion Cake

Matthew recently received his first communion and to celebrate the family threw a party at the American Hotel in Freehold, NJ. Phyllis Skolnick from Extraordinary Productions reached out to us to help design the cake. We’ve worked with Phyllis on several extraordinary cakes and were thrilled at the opportunity to partner with her for her son’s cake.

Record Reprint Decorations

The square cake included a black and silver stereo amp on the top along with a pair of earphones and music player resting at the base. Matthew is a music lover and the blue mp3 player is displaying one of his favorite bands!

The middle tier is decorated with cobalt blue fondant with Matthew’s name written in silver to match the invitation. The bottom tier is covered in alternating white and black fondant panels decorated with images of records. The sides include additional writing to coordinate with the invitation. Flavors and fillings included vanilla with raspberry chambord and chocolate with oreos and cream filling.
