John’s 1st Birthday Giraffe Cake

This colorful birthday cake was created for John’s first birthday party this past weekend. The cake was inspired by my son’s 1st birthday cake and included a smiling giraffe decked out in a party hat and balloon on the top tier.

The second tier is decorated in blue fondant and colorful polka dots. A zebra and monkey both sit on the second tier also dressed in party hats.

The final tier is covered in green fondant with green grass at the base of the tier. A elephant in baby blue sits on the cake board next to a message which reads “Happy 1st Birthday”.
