Topsy Turvy Sweet 16 Cake

Michelle reached out to us to help design a special cake for her daughter Taylor’s sweet 16 celebration at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston, NJ. For the design we we worked in our favorite color hot pink along with black, white and accented silver piped swirls. (The silver piped pearls were inspired by this sweet 16 cake we designed nearly 2 years ago)

The top of the cake includes a silver standing “T” for Taylor along with hot pink and black ribbon roses. The top and bottom tiers are covered in white fondant while the middle tier is covered in hot pink with a black center band and bow. The center of band includes a hot pink brooch.

The entire cake was vanilla rainbow polka dotted with mocha buttercream.
