Pink Ombré Wedding Cake

This past weekend we had the pleasure of participating in the Country Club Bride Seasonal Wedding Showcase at the beautiful TPC Jasna Polana in Princeton, NJ.

Calla Lilies, Tulips, Roses, Peonies, and Hydrangea adorn this Pink Ombre Wedding Cake

We created this pink ombré wedding cake for the event. The cake included six tiers of varying heights along with several bouquets of included calla lilies, tulips, roses, peonies and hydrangea.

We hope to do more pink ombré wedding cakes this year!  An alternative option for brides that like the pink ombré theme is our set of pink ombré wedding cake stands.

Crystal Wedding Cake

This towering 5 tiered wedding cake was delivered to The Ashford Estate in Allentown, NJ. The top of the cake includes a crystal topper provided by the client. The tiers are decorated in black lace piping and hanging crystals.

Another unique feature of this wedding cake are the varying shapes of the white tiers which included round, square and hexagonal shapes with separators.

Flavors and fillings included alternating layers of pink velvet with lemon cream cheese and raspberry chambord buttercream and chocolate with oreos and cream buttercream.

Frank Lloyd Wright Inspired Wedding Cake

Rebecca & Mike had a unique design challenge for their wedding cake. The couple’s venue at the Nauvoo Grill Club in Fair Haven, NJ is heavily influenced by the great American architect Frank Lloyd Wright with warm woods, stone fireplaces and a laid back mission style. They wanted to combine Wright’s grand architect style with their fall and peacock colors for the wedding.

On top of that, the bride designed wonderful invitations that we worked to incorporate into the wedding cake. The middle tier of the square wedding includes this rectangle detail with the same blue and brown color scheme.

We also incorporated the couple’s lime and burnt orange cymnidium orchids cascading down the wedding cake. The last detail of the wedding incorporated into the cake was the peacock/teal color of the bridesmaid dresses which we incorporated into the cake board.

Art Deco Wedding Cake

This weekend we delivered a cake to the Natirar estate – a beautiful 500 acre estate in Peapack-Gladstone, NJ. We worked with the talented team at Still Life Event Designs to create this Art Deco wedding cake.

The top of the wedding cake includes a standing silver art deco geometric cutout with a dark navy center. Running horizontally across each tier are silver and navy stripes. Finishing off the art deco theme are geometric accents with a dark navy center along the second and bottom tiers.

Flavors and fillings included red velvet cake with lemon cream cheese and vanilla with raspberry chambord .

This wedding cake is inspired by the webcomic xkcd. I had not heard of this comic before, but was able to find out more about it after talking to my husband. Apparently the comic mixes romance, sarcasm and some math all together in a single comic strip that appears every Monday, Wednesday and Friday on the website.

The top of the cake includes cutouts of the comic characters with a red heart on a wire between them. The entire cake is covered in white fondant with black thin bands at the base of each tier. Equations inspired by this comic decorate the remaining tiers. (You can buy the t-shirt of this comic here.)

We also included some unusual flavors including banana cake with coffee & chocolate mousse and vanilla with raspberry & strawberry mousse. The wedding cake was delivered to the Hyatt on the Hudson in Jersey City.

XKCD Two Tier Wedding Cake

Hawaii represents the perfect summer destination and this wedding cake fits the theme. The top of the cake is decorated in plumeria and hibiscus sugar flowers. While the other tiers include various Hawaiian themed items like flip flops, the Hawaiian islands, a ukulele, turtles and of course the traditional Hawaiian Lei.

The cake tier colors included sand, ivory and white. Some of the detail colors included orange, pink, yellow and white. We delivered the cake to the Grand Summit Hotel, in Summit NJ. Flavors included chocolate cake with raspberry chambord buttercream, carrot cake with hazelnut buttercream, and vanilla cake with oreos and cream buttercream.

This unique tropical love bird themed wedding cake has orchids and hibiscus growing along the log and a male and female bird perched atop the log. We used greens, yellows and blues for the male bird and worked in the more feminine pink for the female bird. For the very observant, you’ll also notice the bird is wearing a replica of the wedding ring around her foot. Flavors included pink velvet with raspberry chambord and vanilla buttercream.

We delivered the cake to the Palace at Somerset Park in NJ. Congratulations to Ashley & Anthony!

This fun and whimsical wedding cake was created for a Monte Carlo themed wedding that appeared on “My Fair Wedding” with David Tutera. The wedding cake include damask patterns, different suites of cards and red roses with crystals. We used a black, red, gold and white color scheme to match the wedding’s color themes.

This six tier wedding cake is highlighted with a damask pattern on the middle tier and cumberbunds on the top and bottom tiers. Gold quilted separators separate the ivory and light green larger tiers. The cake is finished with crystals brooches and topper.

My husband and I delivered the cake to the Manor in West Orange, NJ. Its tall thin stature made for a very interesting drive…the good news is the cake made it in one piece.
