Quinceanera Sweet 15 Birthday Cake

We were contacted to create this cake for a Quince (Sweet Fifteen) birthday party with a cirque du soleil theme. The colors of the cake matched the parties invitation and we added stars, paislies, ostrich feathers and Solei masks to complete the theme.

The flavors included pink velvet with vanilla buttercream, vanilla cake with two layers of choc buttercream and one layer of raspberry chambord buttercream

Similar to our lavender colored Quinceañera cake, this birthday cake was decorated with stargazer lilies and butterflies. On the second tier we engraved the birthday girls name – “Lilli”. Each tier was chocolate cake filled with both chocolate and raspberry chambord fillings.

Our first Quinceañera cake! The Quinceañera (i.e Sweet Fifteen) marks the 15th birthday of a women and signifies her transition from childhood to womanhood. Its closest equivalent in the English speaking world is the Sweet 16. More info is available on Wikipedia.

The cake has two layers of chocolate filled with peanut butter and two layers of vanilla filled with hazelnut. We created the cake to match the ethereal theme of the party.
