Monkey First Birthday Cake

For this 1st birthday monkey cake we tried to incorporate a little portion for daddy. Both dad and daughter have a birthday on the same day, so to honor dad as well we included him sitting at the back of the cake holding a cupcake.

The top of the cake includes our favorite little baby monkey sitting at the edge of the top tier wearing a pink party hat and diaper. The top tier is baby pink with polka dots in dark brown, light pink and celadon.

The middle tier includes light pink fondant with cutout swirls in baby pink, celadon and dark brown. Flavors and fillings included carrot cake with vanilla buttercream, marble cake with chocolate buttercream and vanilla with oreos and cream buttercream.

3rd Birthday Monkey Cake

I was so excited when I saw Kat’s message on our Facebook Fan Page. First off, we’ve been creating cakes for Kat’s son Sebastian every year of his life and are honored to have that privilege. Secondly, we had some issues with our camera this past weekend, and Kat let us know that a fantastic photographer (Artistic Soup Photography) had taken professional photos of the cake!

For this very special cake we included several animals, most prominently is the monkey sitting atop the cake that matches the client’s party supplies. Other animals include a Boston Terrier, turtle, skunk and frog. The yellow and blue colors were also coordinated to match the parties palette theme.

Flavors included chocolate with oreos and cream buttercream, red velvet with vanilla buttercream and vanilla with vanilla buttercream.

Monkey Birthday Cake

The girl version of our popular boy’s monkey birthday cake debuts with a chocolate brown monkey dressed in diaper and light pink party hat. The color scheme was based off another children’s monkey birthday cake and included shades of pink, lime and chocolate brown as the cakes color scheme.

We delivered the cake to New York City and the flavors included vanilla with oreos and cream buttercream and chocolate cake with raspberry chambord buttercream.

I really do love monkey cakes! This 3 tier round cake is covered in pink fondant to match the invitation. The top of the cake is adorned with a lime number 2 and a pink flower. The middle tier includes a sugar cutout of a monkey that is also on the invitation. The flavors of the cake include chocolate cake with oreos and cream buttercream, and pink velvet cake with cream cheese.

This monkey dressed in a diaper and party hat was created to match the 1st birthday’s party invitations. The top tier is covered in light blue fondant with a light yellow number “1″ on the front. Polka dots in celadon, light yellow, medium blue and accents of chocolate brown cover the tier. The bottom tier is covered in celadon fondant with stipres of light blue, light yellow and accents of chocolate brown. The bottom tier was inspired by our children’s alligator birthday cake.
