Monkey 1st Birthday Cake

This monkey dressed in a diaper and party hat was created to match the 1st birthday’s party invitations. The top tier is covered in light blue fondant with a light yellow number “1″ on the front. Polka dots in celadon, light yellow, medium blue and accents of chocolate brown cover the tier. The bottom tier is covered in celadon fondant with stipres of light blue, light yellow and accents of chocolate brown. The bottom tier was inspired by our children’s alligator birthday cake.

This 2 tier topsy turvy cake has one layer of vanilla cake with oreos and cream buttercream and smore graham cracker cake with marshmallow and chocolate buttercream. On the front of the cake is a 2-d monkey.
