Wedding cake with Doggy

The highlight of this asymmetrically stacked 4 tier wedding cake is the small sculpted beagle named Buddy taking a bite out of the cake. Buddy is looking over slyly at the cake as a small amount of icing and cake rests on his tongue.

White pumpkins, orange, red, and yellow bittersweet berries and cascading fall leaves highlight the rest of the cakes decorations. The entire cake is covered in ivory fondant with shimmery deep red bands around the base of each tier.

Flavors and fillings matched the cakes fall theme and included apple spice with caramel buttercream and chocolate with raspberry chambord and chocolate. We delivered the cake to the Orange Law Country Club in South Orange, NJ.

Capturing Buddy’s essence was important to us and the client. We worked in several of Buddy’s unique features including his little brown spots that dot the front of his two paws. Also we made sure to include the appropriate amount of the dog’s characteristic white fur to appropriately capture Buddy’s wise old age.

Frank Lloyd Wright Inspired Wedding Cake

Rebecca & Mike had a unique design challenge for their wedding cake. The couple’s venue at the Nauvoo Grill Club in Fair Haven, NJ is heavily influenced by the great American architect Frank Lloyd Wright with warm woods, stone fireplaces and a laid back mission style. They wanted to combine Wright’s grand architect style with their fall and peacock colors for the wedding.

On top of that, the bride designed wonderful invitations that we worked to incorporate into the wedding cake. The middle tier of the square wedding includes this rectangle detail with the same blue and brown color scheme.

We also incorporated the couple’s lime and burnt orange cymnidium orchids cascading down the wedding cake. The last detail of the wedding incorporated into the cake was the peacock/teal color of the bridesmaid dresses which we incorporated into the cake board.

We were happy to hear from this bride back in July when she asked us to do her wedding cake. Previously she had ordered this cake from us for her cousin’s party.

For her wedding cake, we created a rustic/fall theme with colors to match the color pattern of the wedding/invitations. Sugar flowers included sunflowers, black magic roses, circus roses, green hydrangea and seeded eucalyptus.

Flowers included vanilla cake with nutella & strawberry buttercream, red velvet cake with lemon cream cheese and raspberry buttercream and vanilla cake with hazelnut buttercream.

October is almost over and we haven’t posted any fall wedding cakes yet!  So here it is…This 4 tier round cake includes cascading leaves and branches.  Each tier is covered in a brown ribbon with white fondant.

The flavors include white cake with alternating layers of oreos and cream and peanut butter filling and red velvet cake with lemon cream cheese.

The bride and groom left us this wonderful note:

This is our wedding cake! We ABSOLUTELY loved it!!! You did a wonderful job and we were very pleased with the final product. Not only did it look incredible but it tasted wonderful too! Thanks again, it is just how we wanted it. Great Job!!! ps…we got so many compliments on the cake.

The entire cake is apple spice with caramel mousse filling.

Flavors included chocolate with hazelnut buttercream, vanilla with mocha buttercream and chocolate with raspberry buttercream.  We delivered this cake to Trump Soho in New York City.

Champange Bow Wedding Cake

White fondant with vertical sparkles and sage green bow detail this next wedding cake. The cake was inspired after the brides gown which had vertical beads running down the bodice. In the center of the hydrangea colored bow is a green Swarovski crystal.
