This bride requested a pink and brown designer handbag as the centerpiece for her bridal shower. Happy Shower Kristen!

Update: As Alicia astutely pointed out, we did a similar purse cake for a birthday party nearly 1 year ago.

This 3d sculpted purple chair cake was created for a bridal shower.   Laying on the chair is one large lime pillow with a purple bow and a couple of sugar magazines.

The whimsical feel of the chair reminds me of the Burton’s upcoming version of Alice in Wonderland – which by the way looks incredible! You can watch the trailer here.

First came the engagement cake, and this weekend we had the pleasure of creating this 2 tier bridal shower cake for our customer. The top of the cake has a brown sugar treasure chest with a diamond ring on top. The base of each tier has gold cummerbunds with gold starfish, glitter and a crystal brooch. Fondant sea shells and gold glitter round out the base of the cake. Flavors included coconut cake with 2 layers of raspberry buttercream and one layer of coconut buttercream.

It may be hard to see in this photograph, but we’ve created a topsy turvy version of our popular gift box cake. This color scheme for this cake includes silver, ivory and dark brown. The bottom box includes polka dots and the top of the cake includes a glittery silver bow with a crystal brooch in the center. We delivered the three tier cake to Cucina Calandra in Fairfield, NJ.

We topped this bridal shower cake with red roses and alternated the tiers with white and champagne fondant. The second tier includes a black damask pattern and the bottom and top tiers include white swiss dots.

An engagement ring and crocodile handbag make a perfect combination to celebrate a bridal shower.  The handbag was vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream filling.

We created 75 daisy cupcakes and packaged them in these white boxes with a hot pink bow for a bridal shower at the Bernards Inn in Bernardsville, NJ. Each cupcake was pink velvet with cream cheese filling and topped with a hot pink and lime green daisy.

We created this look-a-like bundt cake and cupcakes for a pastry themed bridal shower. Each cupcake was topped with pastry cutouts including donuts, slices of cakes, danishes and eclairs.

The customer purchased this cake for her friend’s (the bride’s) surprise bridal shower. Unbeknown to the customer, the friend (the bride) called us and had us create a dozen cupcakes topped with 3D objects that the friend loves. The bride thought the friend was just coming in to see our shop.

At any rate, when the customer came into the store, we surprised her with the cupcakes, along with a note from the bride thanking her for being such a great friend. All I’m saying is that there was a wonderful cake moment…the customer may have a shed a tear or two..it was great !

I’m the bride in this sweet story, and I have to say the best moment was when Tamara walked me into the kitchen and opened the refrigerator to show me this gorgeous concoction. (And here I thought her thanks for the cupcakes were amazing… then I get this!)

I was at the shower that this cake was created for, and it was amazing – delicious as well as beautiful. I am a wedding photographer, so I taste A LOT of wedding cake! Typically I take a bite and push it away, but I gobbled up the entire piece. I’m very impressed, but also sad that you are located so far away from me! I’d also like to see the cupcakes we heard so much about at the shower…
