Bat Mitzvah Winter Wonderland Cake

Heather reached out to us last year asking if we could work with her to help design her daughter Emily’s Bat Mitzvah cake. Last year we worked with the family to design a Bat Mitzvah cake for their other daughter Rebecca, so we were excited to do another cake for the family.

For this cake we designed a winter wonderland theme for the celebration. The top of the cake included a glittery silver “12″ with a variety of light blue and white snowflakes. The second tier is covered in light blue fondant with a white center band with a bow and tails. The center of the bow is highlighted with a crystal snowflake.

Flavors and filling included red velvet with vanilla buttercream, chocolate with marshmallow buttercream and vanilla with chocoalte buttercream. We delivered the cake to the Powerhouse in East Hanover, NJ.

Bat Mitzvah Cake

Sara wanted an elegant cake that embodied some of the whimsy from the invitation for her Bat Mitzvah celebration this weekend in Sayreville, NJ. The bottom tier of the cake includes a damask pattern inspired by the inside envelope of the invitation. The top tier includes a whismy loop with a crystal accents in the center.

I Love Themed Bat Mitzvah Cake

Ann reached out to us back in March and inquired about collaborating to create a Bat Mitzvah cake for her daughter. We had previously worked with her to design her son’s B’nei Mitzvah cake and were thrilled she thought of us again for her daughter’s Bat Mitzvah cake.

Her daughter’s theme was “I Love” and we incorporated things she loves including New York City into her decorations. Ann also sent us her daughter’s list of 10 “Loves” which were incorporated into the middle tier. Here party’s colors were red, black and white.

At the top of the cake is a replica of the Empire State Building with a blinking heart shape and heart cutouts. The top tier is covered in red fondant with NYC building silhouette cutouts and twinkling lights. The bottom of the cake includes a yellow cab, a shopping bag and frozen yogurt – all additional “loves” for Ann’s daughter.

The entire cake was red velvet with marshmallow buttercream. We delivered the cake to Bryant Park Celsius Restuarant in NYC. Here’s a video I shot at the bakery:

Ann sent us this message via email this morning. We are so glad Jessie enjoyed her cake and she’d be happy to know its on the website!

Thank you so much for Jessie’s NY cake. The kids went crazy for it and many people asked us where it was made so expect some calls! The little lights at the top where the best and when we woke up Sunday they were still twinkling! Its fun to have a “faux” top part because now we can keep it forever. It is now the centerpiece of our dining room table.

Once again you exceeded our expectations and we hope to have many more celebrations together. The first thing Jessie did when she got home from her Bat Mitzvah was look on your website to see if the cake was there!

Hot Pink Bat Mitzvah Topsy Turvy Cake

This Bat Mitzvah cake is a slightly different style then our traditional topsy turvy cake. It includes glittery gold topsy seperators and a golden standing H embedded with crystals.

The entire cake is covered in pearlized hot pink with black lace accents. The middle tier is decorated with quilted patterns and gold piped dots. Flavors and fillings included vanilla dyed light pink with chocolate and coffee buttercream, chocolate with raspberry chambord and oreos buttercream and pink velvet with cream cheese. We delivered the cake to Club 201 in Englewood NJ.

Topsy Turvy Bat Mitzvah Cake

We created this fun 4 tier topsy turvy cake for Shayna’s Bat Mitzvah celebration at the Rockleigh Country Club in Rockleigh NJ. Shayna and her family wanted to create a cake that would coordinate with the event’s colorful decor and invitation.

The top tier was covered in white fondant with polka dots in various colors. the center of the tier included a blue and green peace sign to match the Bat Mitzvah’s invitation. The second tier was pink with multi-colored diamond cuters. The center of this tier included a purple plaque with a green cut-out with Shayna’s name.

The third tier was decorated with green fondant and polka dots. The bottom tier was covered in purple fondant with stripes. Flavors and fillings included chocolate with peanut butter buttercream, marble with vanilla buttercream, vanilla with mocha buttercream and chocolate with oreos and cream buttercream.

We also created coordinating peace sign cookies for the event.

Zebra Topsy Turvy Bat Mitzvah Cake

We haven’t posted a new Bat Mitzvah cake in a while, so I was excited to get the opportunity to write about this one. Our client held their Bat Mitzvah in Franklin Lakes, NJ at the Indian Trail Club. For the event the parents provided us with a photo of their daughter Katie which we replicated and perched on the front of the tier with brown glasses and a purple dress.

The cake is a mix of bright colors including lime, pink and black. The middle tier is covered in the always popular zebra stripes pattern with hot pink fondant. (See other Zebra Print Bat Mitzvah cakes here.) The top of the cake includes a turquoise blue letter “K with fondant curls. Fillings and flavors included vanilla cake with oreos and cream buttercream and hot pink velvet with vanilla buttercream.

Hot Air Ballon Cake

This weekend we delivered this 4 tier round cake to New York City for a Bat Mitzvah. The cake design was a collaboration with the client who incorporated several of her favorite memories onto each tier of the cake.

Starting at the bottom we included cutout cloud formations to spell out an inspirational message which drove the theme of the entire event. The next tier has a sporty theme with a racquetball racquet, sports goggles and balls. The next tier is inspired by the beautiful island of Nantucket with grass, a bicycle and white picket fence. The final tier includes a winter theme with snowflakes and skis. A finally, sitting atop all these tiers is a hot air balloon which drives home the “sky’s the limit” theme of the party.

Flavors included vanilla and red velvet with oreos and cream buttercream. Primary colors included shades of pink, purple, blue and orange.

Black Fleurs-de-lis Bat Mitzvah Cake

As design inspiration for this Bat Mitzvah cake, we looked to this Moulin Rouge/Cabaret cake for its color palette and Fleurs-de-lis decorations.

This 3 tier cake is asymmetrically stacked in square tiers with ostrick feathers in white, black and hot pint on the top tier. Colors include hot pink fondant with black fondant Fleurs-de-lis cutouts and dots. The middle tier includes a black damask pattern and the bottom tier adds diamond drops. The Bat Mitzvah took place at Trump National in Bedminster, NJ and flavors included chocolate with vanilla buttercream and vanilla with vanilla buttercream – all nut-free!

This is the second cake we’ve done for this client, we also had the honor of doing a cake for their son’s Bat Mitzvah back in 2008.

Fuschia Pink Cupcake Topper

Fuschia and pink highlight this topper cake with quilted pattern and silver piped dots. The top of the cake includes the parties logo and the a belle of the ball with blonde hair and pink dress.

Fuschia Cupcake Favor Boxes

We also included 310 cupcakes all pink velvet with vanilla buttercream dyed pink. Roughly 200 of the cupcakes were included with these fuchsia cupcake favor boxes. We delivered the entire set of cupcakes and topper to the Westin Hotel in Mt. Laurel, NJ.

Hot Pink Topsy Turvy Bat Mitzvah Cake

Hearts, smiles and peace signs decorate this 4 tier topsy turvy Bat Mitzvah cake. The party was held at the Grand Summit Hotel in Summit NJ. The top tier of the cake is covered in white fondant with a glittery hot pink bow. The second tier includes black cutout diamond patterns with silver dots in the corners. The third tier is decorated with peace signs, hearts and smiles in white, black and hot pint. Finally the last tier includes hot pink, silver & black fondant stripes.

Flavors included chocolate cake with oreos and cream buttercream and our signature pink velvet cake with vanilla buttercream.
