Giraffe Themed Baby Shower Cake

Edna reached out to us and asked if we could create a cake similar to the giraffe baby shower cake that we created for JJ’s baby shower.

Edna’s theme for the baby shower was giraffe and she had the cutest giraffe themed invitation:

Giraffe Themed Invitation for Baby Shower

Using Edna’s invitation and a photo of a vintage teaberry crib set that she sent us, we designed the color scheme of the cake using mustard yellow for the piped dots and a mixture of greens for the fondant cutout grass. The board was covered in milk chocolate brown fondant with a message “Showers of Happiness Edna”.

The highlight of the cake is the mother giraffe peering over the cake looking over her baby girl giraffe. The entire cake was pink champagne with raspberry chambord buttercream. Jesse and I delivered the cake to the Cosy Cupboard Tea Room in Morristown NJ.”.

Along with the cake we included 30 one-piece cookies covered in quilted ivory fondant with fuchsia, milk chocolate brown an mustard yellow bibs

Baby Shower Cupcake Tower

The theme of Josephine’s baby shower this past weekend was Cirque de Bebe. For inspiration we used the bright pink and orange palette from these fun and free printables at Hostess with the Mostess.

The topper includes Josephine sitting in a black strapless dress with a hot pink sash. Bright pink fondant with a cutout orange diamond pattern covers the entire topper and the base includes a black fondant band with a bow.

Pregnant Mommy to be Topper

We included 80 vanilla, chocolate, pink velvet, and coconut cupcakes with hazelnut, raspberry chambord, vanilla, lemon and peanut butter buttercream. Several of the cupcakes were covered with black fondant bows.

Topsy Turvy Garden Rose Cake

Inspired partly by our original topsy turvy teapot cake, we revived the teapot cake theme again this past weekend.

The yellow and green teapot is covered in white polka dots, stripes and accented by a few flowers. Underneath the teapot is a light blue tablecloth that covers the second tier.

The base of the tier includes a matching teacup with a baby. On the opposite side is a pocketwatch surrounded by several white garden roses. Flavors & fillings included vanilla with Italian meringue, vanilla with oreos and cream buttercream, almond cake with coconut buttercream, and red velvet with vanilla buttercream.

Baby Shower Tub Cake

Our very own Liz is about to be an Aunt! For her sister Abby’s baby shower we created her this vintage bathtub cake crawling with ladybugs, Gerber daises and a garden hose to complement the baby shower ladybug theme.

Flavors and fillings included red velvet with vanilla and chocolate with raspberry. The party was held at the La Dolce Vita in Wharton NJ.

Beehive Baby Shower Cake

This yellow beehive themed baby shower cake was inspired by a similar beehive cupcake topper cake we created a few weekends ago.

The top tier is covered in white fondant and black and yellow polka dots while the bottom tier is decorated with black fondant and yellow and white polka dots. Topping off the bee theme, several fondant bees are buzzing happily around each tier of the cake.

Flavors and fillings included vanilla with fresh strawberries and vanilla buttercream. Congratulations Zahrah!

Rubber Ducky Baby Shower Cake

Nina reached out to us to see if create a baby shower cake for her rubber ducky themed baby shower in Nutley, NJ. We created this 3 tier cake topped with a wooden barrel filled with water and a rubber duck to match the party’s invitation. It might just be my favorite one yet!

The middle and bottom tiers were covered in matching light blue fondant with cutout clouds and a clothesline. The base of each tier was decorated with piped grass and scattered bubbles.

We have a three tier baby shower cake here which is soo cute I can’t even handle it. It’s a little rubbery ducky on top of a little barrel. And down here there’s a little clothesline with clothes, bubbles, grass, clouds, one-piece, bibs, shorts – all inspired by the invitation for the shower.

Here we have a paddling of ducks (I had to look up the proper term to use when referring to a group of ducks, and according to this site, when a group of ducks are in the water together they are referred to as “paddling”.)

Hey there Anne, Nina just showed me this and it’s so awesome how much fun went into making the cake It really was a hit and of the 40 people there, 40 people asked, “Where did you get the cake? It’s so cute.” When we were setting up, the owner of the restaurant took out his Phone and started taking pictures as well to show his family in Europe because he was flying out for vacation after the party. Thank you so much for bringing this to life, it was so good! We appreciate it.

Baby Shower Yankees Themed Cake

Our longtime customer Tiffany, from The Event Producers, ordered this cake for a baby shower at Yankee stadium this weekend. The entire cake was coordinated with the colors of the Yankees and included a silver baseball with crystal accents as the topper.

The first tier of the cake was covered in white fondant with a navy and red SS pattern. Silver roping with a small red rose and pacifier sits along side the tier.

The middle tier is decorated with navy fondant and white stitched pinstripes to match the Yankees primary colors. The center of the tier includes a white cameo with crystal edging and a navy pregnant figure silhouette. The base of the tier is covered in silver roping with small a red rose accent and bib.

The final cake tier is covered in white quilted fondant with silver piped dots in the corners. A baby bottle with a small red rose accents the base with a message that reads – “”Welcoming Skyler & Stephen!”.

Cake flavors included chocolate with oreos and cream buttercream, blue velvet with vanilla buttercream, and vanilla with vanilla buttercream.

Invitation Inspired Birthday Cake

This month we are running a giveaway which pairs up our cakes with invitations from Perideau Designs. We continued that theme with this 3 tier round cake.

Baby Shower Flower Cookies

The cake was inspired by the green, red and yellow flower invitation the client sent us for the baby shower. Each tier is covered in a light green bow and cutout flowers coordinated in half green with red and half green with yellow. Inside the cake is pink velvet with vanilla Italian meringue buttercream.

Whimsical Teapot Cupcake Tower

We love incorporating teapot themes into our cakes! This cupcake tower for a baby shower includes a sculpted topper teapot cake which matches the client’s image. The teapot is covered in light pink fondant with a gold watch and sugar flower accents. Inside the teapot is marble cake with vanilla buttercream filling.

In total, we included 40 cupcakes with our extra small cupcake stand. Flavors included pink velvet with vanilla buttercream dyed light pink and banana cake with vanilla buttercream dyed light yellow. The top of some cupcakes included a green piped message “Eat Me” to match our Alice in Wonderland themed cupcakes with flowers and leaves.

Nursey Baby Shower Cake

We created this cake for our very own Laura who works part time as an assistant at Pink Cake Box. She was celebrating her sister-in-law’s baby shower and we designed the cake to match the theme of the baby’s nursery.  Atop the cake we included a coordinating set of flowers.

Flavors included vanilla with vanilla mousse and fresh strawberries, and red velvet with lemon cream cheese.
