Fairytale Dream Castle Cake
Posted to All Pastries, Cake Videos, Celebration Cakes on Wednesday, March 25th, 2009.Cathy and I had the opportunity to compete in a “Fairy Dreams and Castle” live cake challenge over the weekend at the National Capital Area cake show in Burke, VA.

My mom took the video camera along for the event and after some heavy editing on our side (it was her first time using the camera) we were able to create a short montage of clips from the challenge.

Pink Cake Box never fails to amaze me!!
I love every cake on your blog, but I absolutely adore this one! What FUN!
I can’t believe that I didn’t recognize you. I walked by your cake two times. I love your cakes and I even had a photo of a cake I had just done that was inspired by one of your cakes. Oh well, you might have thought I was crazy anyway! It was great fun to watch you.
Thanks Melinda. Hopefully we’ll get a chance to met up at the next cake show…
Wow! This one is my absolute favorite!
I am so sorry that I missed you and your challenge at the cake show. I ended up attending on Sunday because I had my final for my Baking & Pastry class that Sat (yes, I am finally getting around to taking baking classes at the Art Institute).
The cake turned out wonderful.
So great to see things going so well for you!
P.S. I know a lot of people sent you emails and notes about your Food Network appearance, but I wanted to let you know that I thought you represented yourself very well despite the end result not being what you had hoped for. Can’t wait to tune into the next episode you’re on!
Thanks Amy! Glad to hear from you again
Congratulations on deciding to move forward with baking classes!
Amazing!!! I love the toadstools. And the fairies. And the castle…heck, I love it all!
I LOVE THIS CAKE!!!!! Saw you on Food Network and felt so bad for you as I know it wasn’t what you wanted to do … kudo for doing what the bride wanted (even tho she admitted it wasn’t what she wanted after all) You so rock!!! Wish I lived close enough to come shadow you and learn how to do some of those amazing things you do!!!
