Basketweave Wedding Cake

We met with Courtney last year to help design this four tier flower wedding cake. The wedding cake was coordinated with several beautiful sugar flowers to match the bouquets and flower arrangements for the wedding at Fiddler’s Elbow in Bedminster, NJ.. Flowers included pink esperanza roses, white and ivory roses, dendrobium ivory orchids and ivory hydrangea.

She liked the basketweave style and asked us to use basketweave wedding cake as inspiration. The cake included ivory basketweave square tiers, ivory roping, light green dots above the roping, and white on the tops of the square tiers. We used soft pastel colors for the flowers including pink and ivory along with a few light sage green leaves.

Flavors and filling included vanilla with hazelnut buttercream and chocolate buttercream, and vanilla with lemon cream cheese and raspberry chambord buttercream.
