Duboeuf Let Them Eat Cake Contest (463)

Pink Cake Box participated in the Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau Let Them Eat Cake contest this past Thursday. The contest marked the 25th anniversary of Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau in America.

We competed against 5 other chefs from the New York area. The theme of the cake was “The Art of Wine”. And even though we didn’t win, we are very proud of our entry:

The top of the cake represents the cork of the wine bottle. Purple sugar grapes hang off the sides of the cake and the background from the Beaujolias Nouveau wine label was hand painted on the bottom tier.
