Cupcakes are taking a stand and are dressing up in different liners and adding elements to take these delicious and tasty morsels of cake to the next level. Whether it’s fun and fancy cupcake liners or personalized decorations, there are several ways to make your cupcakes stand out at your next celebration. Add Animal Print Liners!
Example: Nicolette’s 2nd Birthday Cupcake Stand
Show off your wild side by adding animal print. This particular celebration was for a 2 year old but animal print is so versatile it can be used for so many different celebrations. When being set up on the tier one row had a fun zebra print liner while the others had a solid hot pink to bring out the design elements of the topper cake. Add Colored Liners!
Example: Pink Princess Castle Birthday Cake with Cupcakes
These cupcakes were added on for the kiddo’s in addition to the cake. The cupcakes were done to match the cake in pink and purple along with matching liners to set up nicely around the cake.Find more dazzling princess cakes here.
Printed Design Cupcake Liners
Example: Sarah’s Pea Pod Baby Shower Cupcake Tower
These liners are the perfect baby blue with white polka dots that are a great addition to a baby shower. These “two peas in a pod” cupcakes have 3D peas in a pod atop each cupcake which accents the colors of the cake that really makes this baby shower come to life!

Filigree liners add a touch of elegance to any cupcake. The ornate design envelops the cupcake and steals the show. These cupcakes were done with a star tip and a 2D butterfly or Rose sits on top to add a bit more to these dainty cupcakes.
Don’t Just Add A Decorative Liner, Bling It Out With A Bow!

These cupcakes were done as favors for a wedding with the couples’ monogram on top of the cupcake. Add A Duck! (Or theme of your choice)!
Example: Baby Shower Duckie Cupcakes

Fondant Covered Cupcakes
Example: Baby Face Cupcakes
Celebrating this baby boy’s arrival, these cupcakes were covered in fondant with a baby blue cap and pacifier with rosy cheeks! While these cupcakes were created for a baby boy, switch up the colors and the cupcakes are transformed to adorable baby girl faces.
We certainly weren’t the first to design cupcakes this way, but we love the endless possibilities that a thin layer of fondant with a few embellishments can provide. Add 2D Designs
Example: Cute As A Button Baby Shower Cookies and Cupcakes
Adding 2D elements to cupcakes gives a bit of dimension. These cupcakes were done for a baby shower where the sex of the baby was unknown and the theme was “Cute As A Button!”. Buttons were done in a cluster of three standing in baby blue, baby pink and a soft yellow.
