Crown Princess 21st Birthday Cake (1948)
This four tier wedding cake was created for a 21st birthday celebration this Labor Day weekend. We worked the birthday girl’s favorite color into the cake – pink!
The top of the cake includes a metallic gold tiara taken from our pink princess tiara cake. The top tier is covered in ivory fondant with light pink piped 21s and gold piped dot diagonals. The second tier is covered in pink fondant with an ivory damask stencil. A cameo with a golden crown also decorates the second tier.
A quilted pattern in ivory fondant with smaller cameos highlights the third tier while the bottom tier includes ivory piped scrolls around the center. The base of each tier includes metallic gold fondant rope and accents of hydrangea in light to medium pink. Flavors and fillings included red velvet with almond buttercream, marble with chocolate and vanilla buttercream and red velvet with marshmallow buttercream.
