Champagne Silver Bucket Cake (2101)
This was an exciting cake for us to make because we were able to incorporate two poured sugar elements – a champagne bottle and ice cubes. The cake was created for Andrew’s 40th birthday party in New York City. And to add to the excitement, we had the opportunity to team up with one of our favorite NYC party planners, Shawn Rabideau to design the cake.
At the top of the cake is a poured sugar Dom Preignon bottle with a popped cork and fondant drops of champagne splattering into the air. It sits in a silver champagne bucket with poured sugar ice. We added lights inside the bucket to give the ice cubes a shimmery effect. Unfortunately you really can’t make out the lights in the photo, so take a look at the video below to get a better idea.
The front of the bucket included a number “40” for Andrew’s big day. We also custom designed various champagne labels around the cake featuring Andrew’s birth year.
