This wedding cake is for my good friend Laura from My Bellissima. We decorated the tiers with hand piped paisleys accented with amber crystals. The cake is a champagne color to match Laura’s dress and the ruching between the tiers also match her gown. The top tier includes sugar roses, orchids, hydrangeas and berries. Finally each tier is adorned with a thin green band.

The flavors included mocha cake with peanut butter and oreos and cream buttercream, banana cake with chocolate and peanut butter buttercream, chocolate cake with coconut and almond buttercream, red velvet with lemon cream cheese and raspberry buttercream, and vanilla cake with peanut butter, oreos and chocolate buttercream. We delivered the cake to the Venetian in Garfield, NJ.

Laura left us this wonderful comment after her wedding:

What can I even say about this cake except, OMG! It was STUNNING, AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL and DELICIOUS! You exceeded my expectations 10 fold! I adore you and can’t thank you enough! This is one of those cases where the picture does not properly convey how large the cake is. So I’ll preface this post by stating the cake is 3 feet long and feeds 100 people. So keep that in mind as you read this

The story behind this cake is that it represents a model of a plane the birthday boy wants but does not have yet. The cake includes models of his dogs, his company’s logo, LED lights and a grammy. We delivered the cake to Atlantic City, NJ. Inside the plane was marble cake with oreos and cream buttercream.

Dear Anne -- Thank you, thank you, thank you for the unreal cake. The picture on your web site doesn’t do it justice!! Everyone was totally blown away by the cake and most importantly, my husband flipped over it!! Every detail was perfect and the addition of the lights was awesome. I can’t wait to get the professional pictures back (not that yours weren’t professional ) -- the cake lit up was especially dramatic in the dark club. I will forward them to you when I get them. It is so true that you can’t appreciate the shear size of it. Of course the cake tasted wonderful!

This enormous 6 tiered square and round wedding cake is covered in ivory fondant and decorated with several crystal brooches.  The second tier includes a “VP” monogram with gold and crystal accents which matches the wedding invitation. The base of every other tier includes a white band of crystals (crystal garland).

The flavors included chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream, chocolate cake with hazelnut buttercream, carrot cake with lemon cream cheese, red velvet with raspberry buttercream, and vanilla cake with oreos and cream buttercream.  We delivered the cake to the Venetian in Garfield NJ.

Just finished watching the episode…ahhhh what fun it is to re-live cake chaos Well, although the cake didn’t turn out quite as we had expected, it was still a great experience. We tried really hard to make it happen, but unfortunately ran into some unforseen issues…

It was a fun group though and competing with Colette and Norm was awesome! I’d like to give a big thank you to my team, Beverly, Emily and Russ for all their hard work. Team PCB, we may not have won, but our cake was still ‘out of this world.’ Hahha…sorry there were a few too many inter-galactic puns going on…I really couldn’t help myself!

And to the rest of Team PCB, who stayed home and kept the shop alive, Thank you to you as well!!

So every year, I like to make my one-and-only bro a birthday cake. Well, this year had to be extra special because he was turning 35! To commemorate this mid-decade milestone, I thought it would be fun to make a bust of Serge. I knew this was going to be a difficult undertaking, seeing as I’ve never sculpted a head out of anything, let alone edible materials. But, I knew if I could even sort of pull it off, my brother would think it was really funny.

Well, here it is. It is funny. And sort of creepy….:) Happy Birthday Serge! I love you and don’t think you are creepy ( even though your head made out of cake is ).

His body is made of cake -- chocolate cake filled with peanut butter cup and chocolate peanut butter buttercreams. His head is rice krispy treat and modeling chocolate. Then it was covered in fondant, airbrushed, painted, etc.

Anne made this cake for my mom’s surprise party at Smoke Rise Inn in Kinnelon, NJ. My mom turned 60 last week so we decided to throw her a surprise party with some of her close friends and family.

The cake was amazing (I especially like this topsy turvy style) -- it included all sorts of mementos that best encapsulate my mom. Starting from the top is a sugar figurine version of my mom sitting atop a Yoga mat.

My favorite item was the fondant version of our black lab Elsie with angel wings. Elsie was supposed to be a seeing eye dog, but failed because of her hip displacement. So we were fortunate enough to keep her and have her as part of our lives growing up. She was a great dog and my mom really loved her.

Other items included a whole foods bag, vegetables, vitamins and an organic sign which describes my mom love of all things organic and healthy. Also included was a marriage prep book and shawl which relates to some of the work my mom does with church. There is also a hand on the top tier which represents the volunteer work she does with Healing Touch at Morristown Hospital for Oncology patients.

Happy 60th to my Mom and many thanks to Anne and the staff at Pink Cake Box for helping create an awesome cake and set of cookies for the party!

Although some might think I am biased(I am Anne’s mother-in-law), I am truly speaking from my heart. I have been amazed by many
of Anne’s cakes but this is the first BIG one I have personally received.

The cake was the hit, besides me of course, of my 60th surprise party. Anne had created a cake which represented every facet of my life (although the woman on the top looked 30 and I AM
60). Anne captured my life in all the trimmings…..but more importantly the cake truly captured her ability to get to the heart and stomachs of everyone @ my party.

I didn’t want to cut the cake, but when I took a spoonful of that delicious carrot cake, I melted with sheer delight. So, kudos, love and an abundance of blessings to Anne and her staff who created and made my cake. I knew I was a lucky mother-in-law and this has made my heart of gratitude larger……This cake surpasses all other ratings because it was more than just a cake…….

This luggage cake celebrates the 50th birthday for a man who loves to travel all over the world and loves antiques and old maps. We used warm colors for the design and the cake included chocolate cake with pistachio buttercream and chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream. We delivered the cake to the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City.

I ordered the cake and let me tell you – it was the hit of the party. People did not believe it was a cake at first. They were baffled. People would stand at stare at it for 10 minutes, pointing at all the details. Everyone asked me where I got it and if they do wedding cakes. And the flavor was outstanding. It was a huge hit. We created this replica of the Metropolitan Diner in Fords, NJ for the owner’s birthday party. The dinner is decorated with hanging baskets of spring flowers and the front of the door awning reads “Happy Birthday Louie”. Inside the diner is marble cake with chocolate buttercream filling.

We received this great email from the birthday boy’s wife:

Good morning, I just wanted to thank you so much for the beautiful cake of our diner, I was greatly surprised at the detail.
Everyone loved it as did my husband the birthday boy. Thank you so much again!

The famous bull and bear which represent the ups and downs of the stock market are perfect themes to help celebrate the retirement and 70th birthday celebration of a life-long Wall Street employee.

The entire bear is edible with a combination of modeling chocolate, cake and rice krispy treats. The bull represents the famous bull down on Wall Street in battery park.  The bull is also edible with the exception of his legs which are made of PVC pipe covered in modeling chocolate.

The bear flavors included chocolate cake with raspberry chambord while the bull was red velvet cake with vanilla buttercream.. We delivered the pair of cakes to Lucky Strike on West 42nd St in New York City.

Dear Anne,

You are a true artist and should be very proud of yourself. You created a work of art that exceeded my expectations. The guest did not even realize they were cakes .They all know that I take sculpting classes and they thought these cakes were my latest works. I had to tell them all that they were not sculptures and were indeed cakes. The bull was anatomically correct in every way. Great fun .The cakes were remarkable and it was very painful to have to cut into them, but once we did they turned out to be equally good on the inside as they were beautiful on the outside.

I gave your company name to everyone who requested it and I hope you eventually get a lot of business from it.
