Princess Cupcake, Cake & Cookie Collections

Inspired by our 1st Birthday Princess Cupcake Stand, this princess collection ties together crown cookies, with polka dot cupcakes and a princess cupcake topper. The topper is covered in raspberry pink fondant with polka dots. White cutout starts with a baby pink rolled gumpaste number “1″ sits atop the cake. A white tiara shaped to match the tiara cookies hilights the front of the cake. The center of the crown includes Audrey’s name piped in raspberry pink.

Coordinating with the cake topper, we created 60 raspberry pink tiara cookies with Audrey’s named piped in the center of each cookie. Each cookie was pearlized and glittered with edible rainbow gltitter and packaged in clear bags with white and baby pink ribbons.

Polka Dotted Princess Cupcakes

Each cupcake was decorated with raspberry pink polka dots to coordinate the princess collection. Cupcake flavors included red velvet with vanilla buttercream, vanilla buttercream with vanilla and chocolate with vanilla buttercream.

Arabian Nights 3rd Birthday Cake

We created this three tier square cake for a 3 year-old’s birthday. The party was Arabian themed and at the top of the cake we included a gold 3D sculpted genie lamp. The top and bottom tiers were covered with quilted fuchsia and decorated with gold piped dots and gold tassels.

The middle tier was decorated in fuchsia fondant with darker fuchsia cutout diamond patterns and larger gold piped dots in the corner. Flavors and fillings included banana with chocolate buttercream, vanilla with oreo buttercream and red velvet with vanilla buttercream.

1st Birthday Giraffe Cake

Today we celebrated JJ’s first birthday! I cannot believe a whole year has passed! It has been an amazing year – and we feel so blessed to have such a great little guy in our lives!!!

So, of course I put a lot of thought into his cake. I actually had a few break-downs over this one! I felt so much pressure because I was worried one day he’d look back at the pictures and say, “Geez mom – why did I have such a mediocre cake?” I fully acknowledge I’m nuts At any rate, after remaking the giraffe and balloon (the first one was entirely too large for this cute little cake!) everything sort of fell into place.

Unfortunately, when the time finally came for the big cake moment, JJ was less than thrilled – and didn’t even smash his smash cake! It may have had something to do with the fact that I stripped him down to his birthday suit in front of his entire party….or that he was just overtired, or that this is just the first defiant moment that my son had against his mother! Hahaha.

At any rate, the design of the cake was inspired by JJ’s favorite stuffed giraffe, and his love for balloons! The giraffe is holding onto the 1 for dear life, as the balloon is tuggin on his tail. The cake flavors were banana (JJ’s favorite!) filled with vanilla bean and chocolate italian meringue buttercream, and red velvet with lemon cream cheese and raspberry chambord italian meringue buttercream.

We included “1″ favor cookies, and some mini chocolate cupcakes as well. Happy Birthday little boy! We love you! P.S. Next year JJ you are getting Fudgie the Whale!

1st Birthday Winter Cupcake Tower

This weekend Macy celebrated her 1st birthday with this winter themed cupcake stand. The cake topper is covered in baby blue fondant with a cutout snowman and penguin to match the birthday parties invitation.

Along with the topper we included 40 cupcakes. Flavors and fillings included pink velvet with vanilla buttercream, chocolate with vanilla buttercream and vanilla rainbow with vanilla buttercream.

Hot Air Balloon Birthday Cake

Back in 2009 we created a 1st birthday cake for Mona’s son Adam. This year, we were fortunate to get the opportunity to create another birthday cake for the family – this time it was for Gabriel’s first birthday. The theme of the party was hot air balloons and we incorporated colors from the invitation into the cake.

The 2 tier round cake are covered in light blue fondant with white cloud and hot air balloon cutouts. The balloon colors included white, red blue, green, orange and chocolate brown. The flavors and fillings included red velvet with raspberry buttercream and marble with chocolate buttercream.

Tiger Birthday Cake

Jennifer reached out to us to create this tiger themed cake for her son’s first birthday safari themed birthday party. The orange and white tiger with black stripes atop the first tier with his metallic gold grown was inspired by our original tiger cake.

The top tier is decorated in polka dots to match the invitation along with a fondant number “1″ in burnt red. The bottom tier is covered in light blue fondant with multi-colored stripes including ivory, brown, burtn red, mustard, green, burnt orange and blue. Flavors and fillings included red velvet with vanilla buttercream and marble with vanilla buttercream.

1st Birthday Winterwonder Land Cake

This weekend we created this 3 tier topsy turvy cake for a first birthday party at Branches Catering in West Long Branch, NJ.

The cake is covered in Tiffany blue fondant and the top tier includes an igloo with a cute penguin head sticking out of the igloo door. Along with the penguin on the top tier we also added a penguin with a blue hat sliding down the cake on a block of ice. Farther down the cake is a polar bear in a blue hat and scarf sitting on a wood sled.

Baby blue, silver and white snowflakes decorate the rest of the cake along with fondant swirls and snowflakes on the cake tiers. The entire cake was vanilla with vanilla buttercream.

Lion & Monkey 2nd Birthday Cake

Lexi celebrated her 2nd birthday this past weekend with this 2 tier jungle birthday cake. We combined elements from our 1st birthday lion cake and jungle themed cake topper to help create this cake.

Colors included lime, fuchsia pink, bright orange, and bright yellow. A lion, wearing a lime party hat with multiple stars sits on the top tier and two monkeys with orange and pink hats hang along the bottom tier. The entire cake was carrot with cream cheese.

1st Birthday Animal Cake

Last year right around this time we created this mommy-to-be baby shower cake for an expectant couple One year later they reached out to us to celebrate their son Deven’s first birthday.

For the party they asked us to coordinate the colors and animals for the cake to match the decor of the party. The 2 tier topsy turvy cake is decorated with several animals including a monkey, lion, giraffe and elephant all wearing their party hats. The lion at the top has the most important job which is ensuring that the green gumpaste number “1″ doesn’t topple over.

The front of the bottom tier includes a rectangular plaque with Deven’s name in alternating yellow and lighter blues matching the party’s invite.
The entire cake was coconut with pineapple buttercream.

Baby Block Animal Cake for 1st Birthday

Lori celebrated her daughter’s first birthday this past weekend and asked us to create a baby block cake inspired by our two tier baby block animal cake.

The top of the cake includes a purple teddy bear, a blue elephant and yellow ducky. We decorate the cake with gumpaste curls and covered it in white fondant with light pink and pale yellow borders. The entire cake included our signature pink velvet with vanilla buttercream.
