Brides Magazine – Miniature Wedding Cakes (1087)

Kim from Brides magazine contacted us back in March asking us if we’d be interested in creating 3 miniature cakes airbrushed to match a gorgeous ombre chiffon textile with shades of tangerine and magenta. The idea was that the three cakes’ colors when lined up side-by-side should mirror the color progression on the chiffon:

Here’s the final product published in this fall’s issue.

The editor left us a flattering post on the brides Wedded Bits Blog. Thanks Kim!

I totally gasped when I saw her creations for the first time—and I think you will too when you pick up this issue of the magazine. For a small wedding, having miniature cakes—one for each guest, can be a really fun idea! Check out the Fall/Winter 2009 issue of Brides New Jersey for more great stories and fabulous ideas!

  1. Ingenious idea and great for a modern wedding, it is difficult to tell exactly how big they are?

It is difficult. They were only 6 inches high.

  2. Fabulous! Subtle, but impactful! I absolutely love this idea – tres chic!
