Bichon Frise Dog Cake (1697)
Bichon Frise Dog Cake
The cake above is the first Bichon Frise dog cake we’ve ever done. Our client sent us an image of their Bichon for us to replicate atop this leopard print round cake. Inside the cake is red velvet with cream cheese.
Over the years, we’ve done several different types of breeds and sizes of dogs cakes so I’ve decided to include some of our past dog cakes in this post.
The winner of our people’s choice 2010 vote, our Yorkie Cake has been a very popular request for clients.
French Mastiff Groom's Dog Cake
This French Mastiff cake was given as a surprise by the bride to her fiance.
Bulldog Groom's Cake
Another groom’s cake this time in bulldog form.
Airedale Terrier Cake
Love the Airedale Terrier popping out the top of this cake.
Dog Cake
I completely forget what type of dog this was – hence the generic dog cake title…

Awesome doggie cake Anne! I like the Airedale Terrier one the best!
Your dog cakes are awesome! But my favorite HAS to be the Yorkie cake! I have a Yorkie that’s why!
I LOVE the bichon cake! It looks just like a true Bichon. My dog is a Bichon and she is one of the best. For my graduation i was able to have the florist make little bichon table arrangements but they weren’t as cute as your cake! I wish you were a little closer than NJ because then i would order a cake for my March birthday. Maybe one day i will!
Like all of your fabulous cakes, these dogs are just amazing. But I’ve wondered something ever since I discovered your site. How in the world do people serve/eat them? Isn’t it kind of weird when they cut the pup up?:)
Thanks Em. Yes I think it is hard for many people to cut into them. Some people avoid cutting the head…which I think helps. For example here is a photo of the Yorkie cake’s head that Ashley sent us. In her comment she wrote:
Thanks for the reply Anne. Your cakes are all so amazing that I think I’d have a hard time cutting into any of them other than the traditional wedding ones (although those are actually my favorites — especially the basketweave cake.) And that picture of the ‘two’ pups is too cute!
