Bat Mitzvah Dress Form Cake

This weekend Shelly celebrated her Bat Mitzvah at Play in New York City. The event was themed after a ball and her cake was created to mimic her dress for the celebration.

Sculpted Crystal Bodice Cake

Hand piped dots and crystals were included throughout the bodice to match the dress. The top of the dress includes a crystal masquerade mask and fuchsia feather to tie to the party’s masquerade theme. To achieve the tulle fabric imprint effect we applied a netting on the fondant.

Crystal Masquerade Mask

The cake is approximately 2 feet in height and includes four tiers. The dress is covered in deep fuchsia pink with touches of sparkles to match Shelly’s dress.

The back of the dress is just as fancy as the front and is highlighted with this fuchsia corset design.

The entire cake was red velvet with oreos and cream buttercream.
