Basketball Court Cake (852)
My husband and I saw a New Jersey Nets game Saturday night. I haven’t been to a basketball game in years, and it reminded me that I should post about this basketball cake we did recently. The cake included a 1/2 basketball court and hoop on the top tier along with bouncing basketballs on the side of the bottom tier. The entire cake was red velvet with lemon cream cheese filling.

I have a great idea – I have a son with this name and a birthday coming up…do you think he would even notice if I just cut and pasted the picture and sent him a virtual cake? I’ll just tell him I didn’t really want him to have to spend extra time in the gym so I made it (cough cough) virtually. Yeah, that’s it.
