Baby Block Animal Cake for 1st Birthday

Lori celebrated her daughter’s first birthday this past weekend and asked us to create a baby block cake inspired by our two tier baby block animal cake.

The top of the cake includes a purple teddy bear, a blue elephant and yellow ducky. We decorate the cake with gumpaste curls and covered it in white fondant with light pink and pale yellow borders. The entire cake included our signature pink velvet with vanilla buttercream.

Here’s another version of a baby block cake we did for baby shower in Philadelphia. The baby block cake included white and blue panels which covered a blue velvet cake filled with coconut buttercream.
