Four Tier Wedding Cake inspired by 632 Hudson’s magnificent art deco chandelier

The basis of this 4 tier ivory wedding cake was a magnificent art deco chandelier that is one of the centerpieces of the 623 Hudson where the couple’s wedding took place this past weekend. The chandelier is hanging from a 40-foot muraled ceiling in the venue’s atrium. (See a photo of the chandelier here)

The 4 tier cake includes several key design details from the chandelier starting with the topper which was inspired by iron decor at the top of the chandelier. Each successive tier includes additional iron details ending with the final tier which includes a bronze ombre detail to mimic the glow of the chandelier.

Flavor and fillings included banana cake with two layers of cream cheese filling and one layer of hazelnut filling and coconut and pistachio cake with pina colada buttercream.
