2012 Cake Decorating Classes (1)

We had our first set of cake decorating classes for 2012 this past week. We held two classes during the week – “Fondanting 101: Fondant a round and square cake” and “Cake 101: Fill and Ice a cake”.

In the first class students worked on fondanting a round and square cake. The class focused on techniques for coloring fondant in addition to tricks for fondanting a cake without seams or creases.

In the second class, Cake 101, we went over how to split, fill and ice a round cake. The class focused on techniques for creating Pink Cake Box’s signature smooth, buttercream finish.
