National Capital Area Cake Show 2009

For those of you in the DC/VA area, we’ll be attending the National Capital Area Cake show on March 21st, 2009.
We are participating in two events. The first is a live cake challenge with a Fairy Dreams and Castle theme. After the challenge, we’ll be leading a topsy turvy demo. We’ll show you how to carve cakes to make them topsy turvy. The demo will include squaring off and stacking the topsy turvy cake.

Hi Anne, I will be attending your demo at the NCACS. I’m a huge fan of your web-site, I just love all the cakes you make. I’ve never tried make a topsy turvy cake and my friend want’s me to make her one for her wedding cake so I can’t wait to see your demo.

I really wish I could’ve gone
Hi Anne – I saw you at the NCACS and I absolutely LOVED your cake! As did my 8 year old daughter! We voted for you for people’s choice.
I thought that the sleeping fairy looked just like my 6 year old. I took lots of pictures. I just wanted to say that it was nice to meet you and I loved your cake (I’m not sure who won yet, but I do hope it was you)! I also was able to see your demo (my hubby almost didn’t let me go back after dinner – something about a pinched nerve in his back and he couldn’t move…) and I can’t wait to make him a topsy turvy cake (cake will make his back better)!
