This wedding cake is inspired by the webcomic xkcd. I had not heard of this comic before, but was able to find out more about it after some research. Apparently the comic mixes romance, sarcasm and some math all together in a single comic strip that appears every Monday, Wednesday and Friday on the website.

The top of the cake includes cutouts of the comic characters with a red heart on a wire between them. The entire cake is covered in white fondant with black thin bands at the base of each tier. Equations inspired by this comic decorate the remaining tiers. (You can buy the t-shirt of this comic here.)

We also included some unusual flavors including banana cake with coffee & chocolate mousse and vanilla with raspberry & strawberry mousse. The wedding cake was delivered to the Hyatt on the Hudson in Jersey City.

We replicated an M1A1 Abrams Tank and solider for this sculpted birthday cake. Grass and dirt surrounds the tank and inside we used vanilla cake with oreos and cream buttercream. The cake was delivered to West Haven, CT.

A yellow tube dress with black heels decorate this fashionable mommy-to-be baby shower cake. The pregnant mom is pushing a white carriage with a yellow teddy bear and is surrounded with shopping bags. On the second tier, the dad is standing in a suit with his arms outstretched.

Flavors included red velvet cake with coconut buttercream and vanilla cake with pineapple buttercream. We delivered the cake to Creative Cuisine in New Hyde Park, NY.

This garden rose wedding cake appeared in the June 2010 Brides magazine. We incorporated different shades of pink for the cascading roses. Each tier includes a white picket fence with additional cascading stems and leave in shades of spring green and celadon.

Chris’s wife contacted us and asked us to make this iPhone cake to celebrate her husbands 35th birthday. The application icons on the cake were customized to match his own iPhone setup. The entire cake was chocolate with oreos and cream buttercream and was delivered to Blue Water Grill in Union Square NYC.

I just wanted to let you know that you did a magnificent job with my husband’s iPhone cake for his 35th birthday. The attention to detail was astounding. The cake actually tasted as good as it looked which is a rarity.

I love the monogrammed heart logo from the events invitation that was also incorporated into this 4 tier nut-free engagement cake. The rest of the decorations include starfish and seashells at the base of each tier along with piped pearls. The entire cake is covered in a soft yellow fondant.

We delivered the cake to the Battleground Country Club in Manalapan, NJ.

We have a very special birthday cake here. It’s for my father-in-law’s 60th birthday. It features “Papa Jesse” sitting on a coffee cup. He loves Dunkin’ Donuts and we put all of the things he likes to do flowing out of the coffee cup including golf clubs, a tennis racket, a history book and chocolate chip cookies.

On top of the cake it says Heapin’ Donuts. Happy Birthday Pappa Jesse!

Hydrangea and white roses in light blue, white, navy and celadon highlight this 3 tiered square bridal shower gift box cake. The flowers on the cake were coordinated to match with the flowers at the shower.

Flavors included vanilla cake with hazelnut and chocolate buttercream, chocolate cake with raspberry chambord buttercream and our signature pink velvet cakewith vanilla buttercream. The cake was delivered to Cherry Valley Country Club in Garden City, NY.

We also included 45 hydrangea cookies each with a name tag and matching blue ribbon.

I love incorporating ladybugs into our cakes. Whether it’s a small ladybug like the one on Beverly & Sam’s Wedding cake or a larger one like the cake below, it’s always fun to include a lucky ladybug.

This ladybug is smiling in her hot pink shell with lime green polka dots. The cake flavors included chocolate cake with strawberry buttercream, vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream and red velvet with vanilla buttercream.

This 5 tier round and square cake is covered in ivory fondant and decorated with navy bows and adorned with crystals. The entire cake was dark blue velvet cake with lemon cream cheese.
