We’ve done masquerade themed birthday cakes before, but this is our first masquerade themed wedding cake! The top of cake is sage green with black polka dots, while the middle tier includes pewter piped scrolls. The final tier includes sage green with black stripes. The masks are painted with green, black and pewter and covered in ivory fondant. Flavors included chocolate cake with hazelnut buttercream and chocolate buttercream and red velvet with coconut buttercream. We delivered the cake to the Union Thelogical Seminary in New York City.
This christening cake was inspired by the celebration’s invitation. The top and bottom tiers have a dot pattern while the middle tier is fashioned with a pillow pattern cutout. We used white and light blue colors and the cake included a monogram on the middle tier. Flavors included carrot cake with lemon cream cheese, chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream and banana cake with chocolate buttercream.
Hope everyone had a great Halloween! Even though Halloween is over, we are still celebrating the Halloween weekend. So we’ll be posting some more Halloween cakes in the next few days starting this with spider cake below:
Atop this 3 tier round cake sits a large black spider with black spiderwebs and red roses decorating the remaining tiers. The entire cake was red velvet with vanilla buttercream.
I’ll be honest, this cake really scares me! The towering haunted house includes lots of bones, skulls, scary pumpkins, gravestones and spooky ghosts. We created it for a 22nd Halloween birthday. The cake is chock full of details, so watch the video below as I walk through all the houses details:
October is almost over and we haven’t posted any fall wedding cakes yet! So here it is…This 4 tier round cake includes cascading leaves and branches. Each tier is covered in a brown ribbon with white fondant.
This whimsical cake design includes bright purple, yellow and orange flowers with loopy beaded wires. The top tier has piped purple swirls, while the middle includes diagonal lime green and purple stripes and the final tier includes purple polka dots. Flavors include chocolate cake with oreos and buttercream, chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream and chocolate cake with raspberry chambord buttercream.
Thanks to everyone from Pink Cake Box and everyone who donated to help us surpass our goal of raising $5000 for the American Cancer Society. Even though the weather didn’t cooperate, we all had fun walking for Making Strides in Parsippany last weekend. Here’s a shot from us at the walk wearing our new Save the Cupcakes t-shirts:
The highlight of this cake is the light wood grain pine fondant with thin sage green bands at the base of each tier. A dogwood branch is growing up the side of the cake with white blossoms with hints of green and gold to match the invitation.
The flavors of the wedding cake included red velvet with two layers of lemon cream cheese and one layer of raspberry chambord. We delivered the cake to the Teak on the Hudson in Hoboken, NJ.
This first birthday cake topper is decorated with a cute blue tiger adorned with a silver crown. Along with the cake topper we included cookies decorated with matching tiger faces. The cake flavors included chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream.
We incorporated purple gold, black and white colors into this 4 tier cake for a football themed bar mitzvah. The cake included a special purple velvet cake with lemon cream cheese dyed in yellow and gold. Atop the first tier sits a football and football player holding a heisman trophy.
